Our Story

Hello, my name is Kirby Anderson, and I am the proud owner, operator, and chef of Flavor Town Eats & Events. For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of organizing events that support local nonprofits—from golf tournaments and lunchtime fundraisers to chicken bog contests and teddy bear drives. These experiences have led me to where I am today: owning and operating a food trailer, a dream I’ve nurtured for over 15 years.

While retirement was always the goal for Flavor Town, life had a way of fast-tracking those plans. With the support and encouragement of my incredible family and friends, this dream came to life earlier than expected, and I am beyond grateful for that blessing.

Flavor Town is truly a family business. My wife, Jennifer Anderson, and our children —Bryson Anderson, Brittaney Truslow, Mari Grace Anderson, Dylan Truslow, Christin Anderson — all play a part in what we do. With family and friends by my side, we’ll continue to grow and do what we love most: making people smile through good food and great service.

As a self-taught BBQ enthusiast, I owe my love for cooking to my sweet grandmother. Summers were spent by her side in the kitchen or out in the garden, gathering fresh butter beans, peas, corn, and cucumbers. I still remember the relief when we finally got a bean sheller to cut down on the hours we used to spend shelling peas while watching our “stories” on TV.

At Flavor Town, our mission is simple: to be a positive force in our community, just as it has been for us. I’ve always believed, “The more you pour into the community, the more the community will pour into you.” We look forward to the opportunity to serve you at your next party, wedding, or event.

Thank you for your support!
